I am from Prairie Village, which is located in Johnson County Kansas and have lived there most all my life with the exception of living in Pennsylvania for a few years while I was a child. I went to grade school at Cure of Ars, attended high school at Rockhurst for two years before going to Bishop Miege for the other two. While at Miege I was able to take several computer classes involving computer repair and programming, which I personally enjoyed. Currently I am living outside of Aggieville and live with my older sister in an apartment. I choose to come to K-State because I wish to receive a degree in Computer Information Science, also many relatives have graduate from here and plenty of my friends are currently enrolled in here. What interests me about Computing Science is the ever expanding field of technology. I enjoy reading about all the new and upcoming technology from various websites and a few tech magazines. Some hobbies I have include cycling, reading, listening to music, playing video games, and hanging out with friends. I also enjoy browsing Reddit and several other online forums. With both sides of my family being from Kansas, I come from a fairly religious background, and have grown up in a catholic setting my entire life, though I no longer follow the teachings. Currently, I have a brother and sister that are students here at K-State, both of which are graduating this year. I have a little sister that will probably be going here next year. My mom graduated from KU Medical and my dad graduated in business from MU. Several cousins and some of my aunts and uncles graduated from here over the years. Currently I am employed at Staples as an Easy Tech Associate and work repairing laptops and desktops as well as working as a cashier. Other jobs I have had in the past were working at Walgreens as Photo Technician and cashier, Barista Tech at Panera, Sandwich Artist at Subway and as a heavy lifter for a computer company. While I am positive that I wish to travel the world, I am not positive in what I wish to actually major in. I am currently listed as open option, only knowing I wish to major in something related to computers. Personally I wish to major in something involving computer repair but have yet to find anything like that at K-State.
